8Tracks

Hey! Welcome back to the blog 🙂

I’m not sure if this will be the longest post, or the most interesting, but this is just something I’ve been loving since last winter and I think it’s an awesome website that everyone should check out.

*Disclaimer: this isn’t sponsored, I just really love this website. And who would want to sponsor me, let’s be honest here*

Okay, so last winter I was struggling a little because I had just had surgery on my foot because of an injury (I might write a separate post about this if you’re interested) and I was just a very sad little human. School was in session which meant homework, and homework, and more homework, in addition to the fact that I wasn’t able to skate. The rink is usually the place I go to to forget about school and family life and everything that is happening around me; I just feel very at home there (because it really is kind of like my second home). Since I couldn’t go there, I felt very out of the loop and alone. Music really changed my way of doing homework and was very uplifting for me personally.

I was never really that into listening to music before last year but I realized I needed something to listen to while chipping away at my ever growing pile of homework. I did some googling and found a website called 8tracks. It kind of changed my life.

Basically, 8tracks is a website on which anyone can compile a playlist of songs. It’s completely free and there is an insane amount of playlists. I have discovered a ton of new music that I never thought I’d listen to before and it’s just really convenient to save a certain playlist to your profile so you can find it really quickly when you feel like listening to music. I have saved a bunch of playlists for when I’m doing schoolwork, for when I need to relax or fall asleep, or just for when I want to belt out song lyrics.

Here are some awesome playlists I’ve saved if you want to check them out:

(The playlists aren’t mine by the way; they were compiled by other people)

Anyway, I don’t know if many of you have seen this website or not but if you haven’t, definitely check it out. It has saved my life many times during all-nighters for studying.

Thanks so much for reading! I’ll see you soon 🙂
