Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a nice day 🙂
Books are wonderful.
I love books and I love reading so much that although I can’t read as often as I like, when I do pick up a good book I very rarely put it down until I’m finished. I just finished reading “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr a few days ago and I had that feeling of ‘what do I do with my life now’. You know what I’m talking about, that feeling you get when you finish an awesome book or TV series and you just sit there like, ‘how do you be a human again?’. I started reading at around 9:20 pm and finished the book at 11:30 (I was very close to being done; I didn’t start the book that night!).
I’m just rambling about books at this point, but I wanted to mention a few of my favorite books that I could read again and again, just as recommendations.
- Any Harry Potter book; I could read one anytime, anywhere okay?? They’re incredible.
- A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin; it’s my favorite out of the whole series, mainly because of the Red Wedding (I ugly cried reading that bit) and I’m very eagerly looking forward to Winds of Winter!
- All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr; like I mentioned before, I really really like this book. The way he describes things just draws you in and keeps you reading, and it’s historical fiction so I love it even more.
- Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte; it’s old, yes, but there’s something about it that I can’t explain and it’s been a favorite ever since I read it in 8th grade.
This isn’t very many books, but it’s quality over quantity in my eyes. If you have any books you really like, tell me about them in the comments, I’m always looking for suggestions for my next read. I’ll leave you with a quote from George R. R. Martin:
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one”
Thanks for reading today’s post! I really do appreciate it 🙂
I’ll see you soon.
